A rich family tradition of winemaking guides each step at this bodega from the harvest of grapes of excellent quality to their transformation into modern, award-winning wines. The painstaking process begins with every bunch of grapes manually harvested from old, low-yield vineyards and continues with minimal use of mechanical means. Bodegas Medrano Irazu is located on the southernmost slopes of the Sierra de Cantabria, with 30 hectares of vines, and another 150 hectares under their direct supervision. The clayey-lime soil and a protective microclimate create a privileged area for the production of regionally and internationally recognized wines.
