NOSE: Honey and spice notes, with a hint of nutmeg, pepper, and well integrated oak notes. 

PALATE: Soothing flavors of dried red fruits, warm spices, and rich and sweet honey flavors, kept in check by the great acidity. 

WINEMAKING: Totally de-stemmed grapes, followed by a slow fermentation with temperature control up to 28ºC degrees. Soft filtration.

RUBY PORT

VARIETIES: Touriga Franca (30%), Tinta Roriz (25%), Tinta Barroca (15%), Touriga Nacional (10%), Other (20%).

COLOR: Brilliant Ruby.

NOSE: Bright, fresh red fruits on the nose, such as cherry, raspberry and redcurrant.

PALATE: Full-bodied, with fine tannin, and plum and dark fruit preserve flavors. 

WINEMAKING: Ruby Port is a blend of young and fresh Ports from different harvests that aged without contact with oxygen. Totally de-stemmed grapes, followed by a slow fermentation with temperature control up to 28ºC degrees. Soft filtration.

ROSE PORT


VARIETIES: Touriga Nacional (40%), Touriga Franca (30%), Sousão (30%)

COLOR: Delicate raspberry color 

NOSE: Tropical fruit notes, combined with delicate strawberry and raspberry notes.

PALATE: Very fresh, with delicious ripe strawberry flavors, and well balanced acidity to keep the sweetness in check. 

WINEMAKING: Grapes are crushed and macerated for a few hours, then bled off to limit contact with the skins and avoid too much color extraction; it fermented at a cold temperature for 10 days.

LBV 2010 PORT

VARIETIES: Touriga Nacional (30%), Touriga Franca (25%), Tinta Roriz (15%) Tinto Cão (5%), Tinta Barroca (5%), Other (20%).

COLOR: Intense, bright ruby red. 

NOSE: Vibrant aromas of fresh raspberry and plum, with a slight spicy nuance adding complexity. 

PALATE: Intense, with flavors of dark fruit, and notes of spice kept in balance by the structured tannins, leading to a lengthy finish.

WINEMAKING: The long and very wet winter helped to create the water reserves the vines needed and used during the very hot days in August. Totally de-stemmed and crushed grapes, followed by a slow fermentation with temperature control up to 27ºC degrees. Soft filtration and bottling in May 2014.

COLHEITA 1996 PORT

VARIETIES: Touriga Franca (35%), Tinta Roriz (20%), Touriga Nacional (15%), Tinta Barroca (10%), Tinto Cão (8%), Other (12%).

COLOR: Light brown, with an orange rim.

NOSE: Complex, with notes of caramel, roasted apple, toffee, and praline.

PALATE: Soft, silky texture, with subtle nutty flavors, caramel and toffee notes, and fresh acidity.

WINEMAKING: Very wet Winter motivated vines to produce quantities well above the average. Dry September brought to the winery aromatic and balanced wines. Totally de-stemmed grapes followed by a slow fermentation with temperature control up to 27ºC degrees. Not filtered. Last bottling was in November 2013.

40 YEAR TAWNY PORT

VARIETIES: Unknown blend of traditional Port varieties.

COLOR: Golden amber

NOSE: Complex aromas from nuts, to sweet dried fruits, and honeycomb. 

PALATE: Thick and intense, with dried fruit, nutty/praline nuances, and a seemingly never-ending finish. Luxurious, to say the least.

WINEMAKING: Very difficult to give precise information about a product of this nature. Fermented in traditional granite lagares. No filtration.

VARIETIES: Unknown blend of traditional Port varieties.

COLOR: Light brown, with amber tones on the rim.

NOSE: Notes of almond, caramelized walnut, and a touch of coconut.

PALATE: Soft and approachable palate, with dark raisin flavors, and hints of sweet caramel and toffee, and a velvety elegant finish. 

WINEMAKING: Totally de-stemmed grapes, followed by a slow fermentation with temperature control up to 26º C degrees. No filtration.
